Taryn Barz became the athletics operations coordinator at Central College in May of 2026

She originally joined the Central College staff as assistant women's basketball coach in 2022. She served as the lead assistant for four seasons.

Barz served as director of operations for the University of Southern Mississippi softball program from 2020-22 after spending the 2018-19 year in a similar position at Belmont University (Tenn.). She also interned with the Nashville Soccer Club.

Barz played at Simpson College, where she graduated in 2017 as a four-year letterwinner. She served as a Simpson team captain.

A Hampton, Iowa native, Barz is a graduate of Hampton-Dumont High School.
