Central College Athletics

Ashley Allen joined the Central College softball staff in 2021 as assistant coach.
           
A Laurel, Iowa native, Allen is a 2019 Simpson College graduate. She was a two-time team MVP at Simpson as a catcher, gaining second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America distinction in 2018. Allen tied a Simpson season record with 18 doubles in 2018 and batted .393 after hitting .330 the previous year. She was a second-team all-league honoree in 2017 and 2019 while receiving honorable mention in 2018. Allen was also a three-time academic all-conference honoree and an NFCA Division III Scholar-Athlete.
           
After majoring in sports administration, Allen now serves as activities department assistant at Southeast Polk High School.
