Zach Jensen joined the Central men’s soccer staff in 2016. He was a volunteer assistant from 2016-21 before becoming a part-time assistant in 2022.
    
Jensen is a 2013 graduate of Central College and four-year player for Laidlaw from 2009-12. 
    
In 2016 and 2019, Jensen was a part of the American Rivers Coaching Staff of the Year winners. The 2019 squad won the program's first outright conference championship and the 2016 team experienced a seven-win increase from the previous season.

Since becoming the head boy's coach at Newton High School in 2017, Jensen has taken the Cardinals to the IAHSAA 2A state tournament twice. In 2018, the program secured its first bid in 22 years. He took the team back in 2022, reaching the semifinals. After the state tournament run in 2018, Jensen was named the head coach for the East in the 2018 IHSSCA All-Star Game.
    
He has additional coaching experience with youth teams in Johnston and Pella and worked with the boy's team at Johnston High School from 2013-16. He guided the Iowa Rush South 19U girls team to the 2022 Regional Presidents Cup.

Newton High School

  • Guided the Cardinals to 2018 IAHSAA 2A state tournament, school's first berth in 22 years
  • Took team back to 2022 IAHSAA 2A state tournament, making it to the semifinals
  • Head coach for East in 2018 IHSCAA All-Star Game

Central College

  • (1) American Rivers Conference Championships - 2019
  • (1) NCAA Division III tournament appearances - 2019

Iowa Rush South

  • Qualified for 2022 Regional Presidents Cup with the 19U girls team.
