Greg Walter rejoined the Central men's soccer staff in 2016 as an assistant coach.

Previously with the program from 2012-13, Walter serves as the team's goalkeeper trainer. 
    
In 2016 and 2019, Walter was a part of the American Rivers Coaching Staff of the Year winners. The 2019 squad won the program's first outright conference championship and the 2016 team experienced a seven-win increase from the previous season.

Walter was a four-year letterwinner and three-time all-conference goalkeeper at Division III MacMurray College (Ill.).

Additionally, Walter has been the head boy's soccer coach at Oskaloosa High School since 2016. He had been previously piloted the girl's team from 2009-15.

A veteran collegiate head coach, Walter was the women's coach at William Penn University from 2006-11 after having held the same post at his alma mater from 2000-06.

At MacMurray, Walter was also the interim head men's coach in 2005 and an assistant for the men's team from 1998-99.

Walter holds a Regional & National Coaching Diploma and State & National Goalkeeper Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches
