Kent Henderson joined the Central men's basketball coaching staff in 2017.
He was chosen to attend the NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy in Tampa, Florida in 2019.
Henderson came to Central after spending the 2016-17 season as an assistant sophomore coach for the boys’ basketball team at Urbandale High School.
Henderson also served as the freshman coach for the boys’ basketball program at Gilbert High School for five seasons while he was a student at Iowa State University. Other coaching experience includes being the head coach for the All Iowa Attack, an AAU program based out of Ames. He has also worked camps including the Jay Bilas Young Coaches Camp (2017), Drake University Camp (2012-13) and the Prep Hoop Iowa Top 100 Camp (2016).
While a student at Iowa State, he worked as an assistant video coordinator with the Cyclone football team. He graduated with a degree in kinesiology in 2016.
