Central College Athletics

Cody Baethke joined the Central football staff as an assistant coach in 2013.

A native of Williamsburg and 2010 Central graduate, Baethke was a four-time letterwinner for the Dutch football team and was named second-team all-conference defensive back in 2009. He is seventh on the school leaderboard with 33 career passes defended. Central won three Iowa Conference championships and posted a 46-9 overall record during his career. He earned a master's degree from the University of Wis.-Eau Claire in 2014.

Baethke was a defensive backs coach at Glenbard South (Ill.) High School before serving as outside linebackers and tight ends coach at Wis.-Eau Claire. He and wis wife, Nichole, a volleyball coach at Central, have two children.
