Sam Staley joined the Central College baseball program as an assistant coach before the 2026 season.

A four-year member of the Dutch program as a pitcher, Staley earned two varsity letters. He logged 85 career innings across 25 appearances, striking out 47 batters. He finished with a 2-7 record and a 6.46 ERA. He served as a team co-captain for the 2023 season.

Staley is employed by the Weiler Corporation in Knoxville as a electrical design engineer
