Jordan Mathewson was added to the Central baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2025 season

Mathewson was a four-year starter at Buena Vista University, where he finished as the program's all-time hits leader with 241. He was a first-team American Rivers All-Confernece pick three times and a second-team honoree once. He was also an all-region selection at second base in 2023.

After graduating from Buena Vista, Mathewson spent the summer of 2024 coaching an American Legion team in Nebraska. He also was a volunteer coach at Platteview [Neb.] High School in 2021. Additionally, Mathewson is a veteran camp instructor at both Buena Vista and Platteview High School.

During his high school career at Platteview, he was picked for the 2018 Lincoln Journal Nebraska All-State Team and was a three-time all-conference selection.
