Central College Athletics

Ian Boline was added to the Central baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2023. He was promoted to be the top assistant prior to the 2025 season.

Boline transitioned to the coaching staff after four years as a player for the Dutch. Primarily playing left field, Boline appeared in 39 games and started 32 times. He was a career .243 hitter with six RBI. 

While serving as the third base coach during games, Boline also works with the outfielders and base runners in practice.

In the summer, Boline has spent the previous five seasons assisting with the Grinnell High School program. He was a volunteer varsity assistant coach for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He's worked the past three seasons as an assistant varsity coach as well as the head junior varsity coach.

Boline graduated from Central College in 2022 with a degree in sports management. He also earned a master's degree in sports administration from Arkansas State University in August of 2023.
