PELLA — It took just 70 minutes for the Central College volleyball team to sweep Luther College Tuesday night inside P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
Central (3-2) beat Luther (1-4) in straight sets 25-10, 25-23, 25-10.
Middle hitter
Kaitlyn Mumm (senior, Waukee, Des Moines Christian HS) had another strong offensive night for the Dutch, recording 11 kills and a .550 hitting percentage.
Rachel Bowers (junior, outside hitter, Orion, Ill.) added nine kills and
Paige Sexton (senior, outside hitter, Sheridan, Ill., Serena HS) had eight.
Another aggressive serving night saw Central register 12 service aces.
Landry Pacha (senior, setter, Wellman, Mid-Prairie HS) and
Emily Brunson (sophomore, Marion) each had four. Brunson also had a team-high 10 digs while Pacha led Central with 20 assists.
Central travels to Minnesota this weekend for a trio of matches at the Saint Paul Classic.
