PELLA— The first seven runners across the line in the men's 6,000-meter race at the Central Dutch Invitational were all wearing the home uniform as the Central College men's cross country team cruised to a team title with 15 points Friday.
           
Central was led by senior William Wadsley (senior, Gilbert) in a time of 19 minutes and 35 seconds. Jack Brown (senior, Norwalk) was second in 19:41.3
           
In the team standings, Grinnell College was second with 55 points and William Penn University was third with 78 points.
           
Freshman Isaac Rankin (Knoxville) was third (19:44.8) for the Dutch and was joined in the top seven by fellow freshmen Knute Rogne (Lake Mills) in fifth (19:51.7) and Carter Nunn (Marshalltown) in seventh (19:56.5)
           
James Brant (junior, Tama, South Tama County HS) and Donovan Card (senior, Norwalk) rounded out the Dutch lineup in fourth (19:48.4) and sixth (19:54.4).
           
The Dutch continue their season next Saturday at the Les Duke Invitational hosted by Grinnell College at 10:15 a.m.
