PELLA — A torrid scoring run continued for Central College women's soccer junior
Olivia DeVos (junior, Altoona, Southeast Polk HS) in a 4-2 win over Westminster College (Mo.) Saturday.
Despite missing a few players with injuries, Central (6-1-0) used 22 players against the Blue Jays (0-5-0).
"It was another team performance," coach
Mike Kobylinski said. "We rotated in a good amount of our roster. Depth has been a great asset."
After notching braces in her last two games, DeVos upped the ante with a hat trick Saturday. She scored in the third and 13th minute on assists from
Piper Eighmy (senior, Birmingham, Ala., Briarwood Christian HS). She reached the hat trick with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute.
Eighmy added a goal of her own in the 18th minute.
Entering the day Saturday, nobody in Division III had reached the 10-goal mark. With her hat trick, DeVos appears to be the first to do so.

Zoey Sizemore (senior, Omaha, Neb., Mercy HS) made three saves in the win.
Central hosts Greenville University (Ill.) on Thursday at 4 p.m.
