Both Dutch track squads stick to national top 15

Central set to host A-R-C Championships this week

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA — In the fifth USTFCCCCA Outdoor Checkpoint of the season released Tuesday, the Central College men's track and field team stayed at No. 5 and the women checked in at No. 15.

Points in the National Team Rating Index are based off placement in the National Descending Order Lists. The higher an athlete sits on the top-50 list, the more points he or she adds to his or her team's total. These points do not reflect placement or scoring at the NCAA Championships but are to show the individuals and teams that have the best chances at scoring well at said meet.

The Dutch have 10 men's marks in the top 50. The only new mark this week is Gunner Meyer (senior, Fairbank, Wapsie Valley HS) in the high jump checking at No. 20 after his clearance of 6 feet, 8 inches at the Drake Relays.

At the Drake Relays, the Dutch women's 4x400-meter relay team of Alivia Roerdink (junior, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS), Emily McMartin (senior, Pella), Kennedy Petersen (freshman, Story City, Roland-Story HS) and Ava Parkins (junior, Monmouth, Ill., Burlington Notre Dame [Iowa] HS) clocked the 10th fastest time in the country at 3 minutes, 48.85 seconds.

Central hosts the American Rivers Conference Championships this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Pella.
