MOUNT VERNON — Cornell College swept the doubles point and took four of six singles matches to defeat the Central College women's tennis team Sunday afternoon.
The Dutch fell to 7-8 this season and 2-3 during the spring season.
Sidney Peterson (freshman, Johnston) moved to 5-0 in singles play this spring with her 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles.
Emily Blom (sophomore, Pella) earned Central's other point with her 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.
Central hosts Truman State University (Mo.) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
