Box Score IOWA CITY — The Central College men's tennis team continued its difficult non-conference schedule in a 6-1 loss to Augustana College (Ill.) Saturday.
           
Francisco Molina Centeno (freshman, Mexico City, Mexico, Centro Educativo Jean Piaget) was victorious 6-1, 7-5 at No. 5 singles for Central's (1-9) only point.
           
There were multiple other chances for Central against Augustana (3-3).
           
Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College) won the opening set of his No. 1 singles match but was defeated in the tiebreaker set 1-6, 6-1, 10-1.
           
Kortz and Alex Slaymaker (Junior, Geneseo, Ill.) suffered a narrow 7-6 (7-5) in the No. 1 doubles match.
           
Central's next varsity match is set for Monday, March 23 at 2 p.m. in Pella against Willamette University (Ore.).
