Central men fall against Loras in basketball contest

Dutch can't keep pace with Duhawk offense

DUBUQUE — Another 20-point game from freshman Kyle Cason (freshman, Grimes, Dallas Center-Grimes HS) highlighted a tough 89-66 road defeat for the Central College men's basketball team against Loras College Wednesday.
           
Loras (16-6, 10-2 American Rivers Conference) led wire-to-wire against Central (10-10, 3-8 conference), forcing 18 turnovers and scoring 20 points off those turnovers.
           
Cason scored 21 points and added six rebounds. Braylon Thomsen (freshman, Carbon Cliff, Ill., Davenport Assumption [Iowa] HS) had 15 pounds and six rebounds and Anthony Gott (sophomore, Davenport, North Scott HS) also had six rebounds.
           
Central is back in Dubuque Saturday for a 4 p.m. game against the University of Dubuque Saturday.
