NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA — With seven entries in the top 10 nationally in Division III, the Central College men's track and field team is back in the No. 5 spot in the fourth USTFCCCCA Indoor Checkpoint of the season Tuesday.

Points in the National Team Rating Index are based off placement in the National Descending Order Lists. The higher an athlete sits on the top-35 list, the more points he or she adds to his or her team's total. These points do not reflect placement or scoring at the NCAA Championships but are to show the individuals and teams that have the best chances at scoring well at said meet.
Gunner Meyer (senior, Fairbank, Wapsie Valley HS) and
Lance Bunde (sophomore, Guthrie Center, ACGC HS) both cleared 6 feet, 8.75 inches in the high jump at the Darren Young Classic and are No. 8 nationally. Meyer also ran 7.90 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles for the No. 3 spot nationally.
