WAVERLY— A tough shooting night for the Central College women's basketball team ended in an 83-45 defeat at Wartburg College Saturday afternoon.
Central (10-13, 5-9 American Rivers Conference) shot 28.3% from the field, making only 17 shots in 60 attempts. Wartburg (18-6, 14-1 conference) made half of the shots it attempted (35-70).
Senior
Bailey Reding (senior, Grundy Center) was the high scorer for Central with 12. She also led the way with five rebounds.
Emily Naughton (junior, Indianola) and
McKenzie Snook (sophomore, Chariton) also had five boards.
Jasmyn Williams (senior, Commerce City, Colo., Arvada West HS) and
Jadyn Filling (senior, Ankeny) had six points apiece. Reding and Williams had three assists each.
Central hosts Coe College at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
