PELLA—Central College linebacker Brecken Ritzert (freshman, Pella, Pella Christian HS) was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career Tuesday.

Ritzert had eight solo tackles in a 40-28 win over Loras College Saturday. A monster second quarter included a 10-yard sack on third down to force a punt, a pass break-up on fourth down to earn a turnover on downs and finally a 47-yard interception return that set up a Dutch touchdown five plays later.
