PELLA — The Central College cross country teams stood firm as chaos reigned in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's weekly Division III national rankings.
A strong effort at the Augustana Interregional kept the Dutch men No. 17 amidst a turbulent week throughout the top 30. Central was one of five programs that did not move up or down in the poll this week.
Central's women's team received two votes and is just outside of the top 30.
Both Dutch squads are at No. 4 in the Midwest Region as the men overtook the University of Chicago to go up one spot.
Wartburg College remains at No. 1 in the men's poll while New York University ascended to the top for the women.
Central is off this weekend before the American Rivers Conference Championships on October 31 in Storm Lake.
