PELLA — Moving up one spot in the Division III dual team rankings, the Central College men's wrestling team is No. 9 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association polls released Wednesday.
The Dutch (6-1) are also No. 22 in the tournament team rankings.
Pierre Baldwin (junior, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) remains No. 2 in at 141 pounds.
Cade Siebrecht (senior, Lisbon) is No. 10 at 149 pounds and C
hristian Stanek (junior, Cedar Rapids, Xavier HS) is No. 15 at 157 pounds.
Seven more Central wrestlers were featured in the regional rankings at their weight classes.
Dominick Marre (sophomore, Carol Stream, Ill., Glenbard North HS) is No. 4 at 125 pounds,
Carter West (sophomore, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 6 at 133 pounds,
Shane Hanford (freshman, Melbourne, West Marshall HS) is No 8 at 165 pounds,
Abe Bushong (freshman, Pleasant Hill, Southeast Polk HS) is at No. 6 at 174 pounds,
Cole Martin (freshman, Nevada, Ames HS) is No. 5 at 184 pounds,
Sam West (senior, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 4 at 197 pounds and
Hayden Hearne (senior, Urbandale HS) is No. 6 at 285 pounds.
Central hosts the Under Armour Invitational Saturday in Pella, starting at 9 a.m. in the H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.
