RIVER FALLS, WIS. — The Central College men's soccer team was unable to see if it could hold its early 1-0 lead as the match at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls was deemed a no contest after weather forced the teams off the pitch 38 minutes into the contest.
It took just 2 minutes and 14 seconds for Central to find a goal as
Ian Greddell (sophomore, West Des Moines, Dowling Catholic HS) scored off an assist from
Jackson Horst (freshman, Parkville, Mo., St. Pius X).
The start of the match was delayed 45 minutes for weather and then another delay started at the 38:19 mark. The weather persisted and with no lights at the stadium in River Falls, the match was deemed a no contest.
Central plays at the University of Wisconsin-Stout at 4 p.m. Saturday.
