CEDAR RAPIDS— After starting the season 4-0, the Central College women's tennis team fell 6-1 at Coe College Saturday morning/
The Dutch (4-1, 3-1 American Rivers Conference) got their lone point against the Kohawks (1-1, 1-1 A-R-C) from No. 4 singles player
Emily Blom (sophomore, Pella). Blom won the first set 6-2 before her opponent retired from the match.
The No. 2 doubles tandem of
Emma Murphy (junior, Liberty, Mo.) and
Lauren Gano (junior, Johnston) also won 6-2 but Coe won the other two doubles matches to take the team point.
Central visits Truman State University (Mo.) for a match on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
