PELLA— The United Soccer Coaches released its NCAA Division III All-Region IV team Tuesday and Central College men's soccer defender Alejo Marcon (senior, Resistencia, Argentina, Pella Christian HS) was chosen to the third team.
           
Marcon was previously named the Defensive Most Valuable Performer for the American Rivers Conference and was a first team all-conference choice.
           
Starting all 18 matches, Marcon played 1,592 minutes. He scored a pair of goals and chipped in an assist. Both of his goals were game-winning strikes, including the lone score in a 1-0 win over the conference co-champions from Wartburg College.
           
Central finished its season 9-4-5 and 4-1-3 in American Rivers matches.
