PELLA —The National Wrestling Coaches Association released its Division III dual team rankings Friday and the Central College men's wrestling team debuted at No. 10.
The Dutch (4-1) are also No. 19 in the tournament team rankings.
Pierre Baldwin (junior, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) is up to No. 2 in at 141 pounds
Sam West (senior, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is now at No. 13 at 197 pounds. Making their debuts,
Cade Siebrecht (senior, Lisbon) is No.9 at 149 pounds and C
hristian Stanek (junior, Cedar Rapids, Xavier HS) is No. 15 at 157 pounds.
Four more Central wrestlers were featured in the regional rankings at their weight classes.
Dominick Marre (sophomore, Carol Stream, Ill., Glenbard North HS) is No. 6 at 125 pounds,
Carter West (sophomore, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 6 at 133 pounds,
Shane Hanford (freshman, Melbourne, West Marshall HS) is No 8 at 165 pounds,
Abe Bushong (freshman, Pleasant Hill, Southeast Polk HS) is at No. 6 at 174 pounds,
Cole Martin (freshman, Nevada, Ames HS) is No. 5 at 184 pounds and
Hayden Hearne (senior, Urbandale HS) is No. 7 at 285 pounds.
Central wrestles twice at the Cornell Duals Saturday in Mount Vernon.
