INDIANOLA — Exchanging goals with Simpson College in the game's final moments, the Central College men's soccer team ended Wednesday's match with a 2-2 draw.
Central (5-2-4, 1-0-2 American Rivers Conference) trailed 1-0 against Simpson (3-5-6, 0-2-1 conference) at halftime. Midfielder
Isaiah Guyton (freshman, Davenport, Bettendorf) leveled the match in the 53rd minutes thanks to an assist from midfielder
Teddy Apostolopoulos (sophomore, Pella).
In the 88th minute,
Spencer Taylor (senior, defender, Norwalk) secured a loose ball in front of the net and slipped it past the goalie to put the Dutch in the lead 2-1. Simpson matched Central's late goal moments later to snatch the tie.

Morgan Finkenbinder (sophomore, Elkhorn, Neb., Skutt Catholic HS) made three saves while facing eight total shots.
The Dutch host Wartburg College at 1 p.m. Saturday from the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex.
