PELLA—Piling up 241 rushing yards last Saturday merited Central College running back Jase Grunder (junior, Tampico, Ill., Prophetstown HS) a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.
           
Grunder compiled the sixth-highest single-game total for rushing yards in a 45-27 win over Loras College Saturday. He averaged 8.6 yards per carry while scoring three touchdowns. Two of his scores came in the second half as Central overcame a halftime deficit.
           
It's the third time a Central player has been selected for the D3football.com Team of the Week in 2025. Grunder is also just the third Central running back to be chosen for the accolade.
           
Central (5-0 overall, 3-0 American Rivers), who is No. 18 in the most recent D3football.com poll, has a bye week before hosting Nebraska Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 18 at 1 p.m.
