PELLA — With several teams in front of it losing, the Central College football team climbed up a trio of spots in both the American Football Coaches Association and D3fotball.com rankings Monday.
The Dutch had a bye week Saturday but multiple teams in front of them in the poll lost. Central is in the top 15 of the AFCA poll for the first time since the end of the 2021 season and in the D3football.com list for the first time since Week 2 of 2022.
Central is back in action Saturday at home against Nebraska Wesleyan University. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. from Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
