PELLA—The Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association released its first national rankings and Central College came in at No. 21 amongst all NCAA programs.
The Dutch are the second-highest rated Division III squad, only trailing No. 12 North Central College (Ill.). Texas Christian University is No. 1 overall.
Team rankings are determined by combining the top five individual race scores from each program. Individual rankings are determined by averaging the time of the top three finishers and giving that time a 100%. The entire field of that race is given a score expressed as a percentage of the average time of the top three finishers.
