PELLA — Central College freshman
Adeline Koritz (Clinton, Ill.) was officially recognized as a second team All-American by the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association Monday.
Koritz finished 10th among athletes from NCAA Division III schools at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships on November 9. The first seven finishers received first team honors with the next seven making up the second team.
Running against athletes from all levels of NCAA schools, Koritz was 126th overall. She completed the sprint triathlon in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 1 second.
Three of her Dutch teammates earned honorable mention All-American by finishing between 15th and 21st.
Taylor Jones (junior, Knoxville) was 15th,
Grace Benson (junior, Newton) was 16th and
Luci Laidlaw (junior, Pella) was 18th.
Joining 2023 grad Lindsey Blommers, Koritz is now the second All-American in the program's short history since 2020.
