Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because when I came on my first tour here it instantly felt like home. I applied to a few schools across Iowa and none of them gave me the same feeling that Central did!!
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Shugar Fox. She always explains everything to make it easier to understand, and I am never bored when she is teaching me!
You’re majoring in kinesiology because?
When I was in high school, I managed football for all four years and when I realized I couldn’t be a professional football manager, athletic training seemed like a perfect fit. I still get to be around the sport that I love and help people in the process!
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in SOS as a leader, theater, and I work in admissions
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Noah Kahan is my all-time favorite, but my whiplash playlist will literally take you through every genre from disco to musical theater (shoutout Ballad of Jane Doe)
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
It showed me that I can do hard things and that it’s okay to miss things to prioritize yourself and sleep! 4:45AM comes quick, I have come to find out
What made you want to become a cheerleader?
I cheered for almost ten years before I stopped in 2020, but I missed it and the feeling of having a team, so when I was told the cheer team was looking for more bases, it almost felt like I was getting another chance to compete in the sport that shaped me!
Who do you admire the most?
I admire my friends so much. We are all so busy with school and life and we all still make an effort to show up and support each other no matter what

Cookie Cake: it’s superior
What was the last gift you gave someone?
I gifted my SOS students bubbles on their first day: LOVE YOU GROUP 12!!!

GLEE if you have not watched it WATCH IT IMMEDIATELY
I also LOVE The Pitt. I am patiently waiting for season 3
What’s it like to compete for Coach Bouska?
It’s amazing competing for her because she always pushes us to be the best we can be! Even when I am ready to give up, she is always there to remind me that I can do it and that it’s okay to try hard things.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central’s cheerleading team?
I have a second family no matter what. We support each other through everything and I know when I need a shoulder to cry on or to vent I know I have my team.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope that I am an NFL athletic trainer. GO BENGALS!!!!
