Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because it had a family feel to it and I really liked that. I loved the size of the campus and classes. Softball was also a big factor in my decision to come here.
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. B is my favorite professor because he is very knowledgeable about the topics that he teaches and he makes class interesting. I never would have thought I would know this much about birds!
You’re majoring in biology because?
I love the outdoors and being able to help with conservation is fun. Working with animals is also a big plus.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I have a work study job and a job off campus to keep me busy!
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Olivia Rodrigo all the way. Drivers License on full volume.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
I have grown so much as a person both individually and professionally. I have connections with people everywhere because I came here. Softball has given me leadership skills that I can take into the rest of my life.
What is something about being a catcher that people don’t understand?
Being a catcher doesn’t just hurt the knees haha.
What sporting event would you love to attend as a fan?
I love going to hockey games, USHL or NHL. The atmosphere is like no other sport.
What is your hidden talent?
I can ice skate pretty well.
If you could live in a book, movie or tv show, what would it be and why?
The Grinch because I just want to be friends with him and Cindy Lou Who.
Favorite TV Show
My favorite TV show is Schitt’s Creek. It is so funny.
What’s it like to play for Coach Wares
I have learned so much about the game of softball that I never would have known if I wasn’t here playing for him. He challenges us as players because he sees the player that we could be. He doesn’t let us doubt ourselves. He wants us to play without fear and he shows that in the way he coaches.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the softball team at Central College?
I love my teammates. We are a family and nothing will come between us. I also love that we have a standard for the Central softball program. We show that we can compete with national contenders and our running game is so fun.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I literally have no idea. Hopefully I will have a job, but I’m not sure what job that is going to be. I’m just taking it day by day right now.
Favorite food from Central Market
Any potatoes. I will eat all of them.
Bucket list
Maine and a Vegas Golden Knights hockey game
