Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because I loved how it felt like home! When I first stepped onto campus everyone made it feel so welcoming! The professors I talked to were so passionate about their jobs and really cared for their students. I also loved how the girls on the team were so easy to get along with. They genuinely cared which made the decision so much easier!

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor would have to be Dr. Sugarfox. She brings so much energy and excitement to her class which makes it so much fun to learn. She is also very knowledgeable and passionate about nutrition which makes us as students want to perform at our best!

You’re majoring in exercise science because?

I chose to major in exercise science because it offered a lot of flexibility and was very hands-on. Coming into college I knew I wanted to go into the medical field but I didn’t know what that looked like. By majoring in exercise science I was able to complete the needed requirements for graduate school while shadowing and finding the profession that interests me the most.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I am involved in InterVarsity, Psychology Club, and I also work for Upward Bound.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

My music taste is all over the place so this question is hard but right now my go-to artists are Noah Kahan, NeedToBreathe, Jordan Davis, Billy Currington, and Drake.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Central has allowed me to continue to play the sport I love while giving me the best teammates who have become some of my best friends! It has also allowed me opportunities and connections I never could have imagined.

What is your guilty pleasure?

ICE CREAM!!!! I love ice cream probably too much! I will never turn it down!!!

Place you would most like to visit?

I love traveling so I have many places but in the U.S I would definitely say Alaska and outside the U.S I would have to say France!

Favorite sport besides basketball and why?

My favorite sport besides basketball would have to be soccer. I have played soccer since I was 4 so it has always been a part of my life. I love the pace of the game, the atmosphere, and really everything! It is so fun to watch and play!!

All-time favorite Christmas gift?

When I was little, I loved to play with barbies and decorate living spaces so one Christmas my dad and grandpa built a barbie house for me, where I was able to redecorate the house whenever I wanted and it was my favorite thing!

Favorite TV Show?

One Tree Hill without a doubt!!!!! You can’t go wrong watching it!

What’s it like to play for Coach Steinkamp?

Playing for Coach Steinkamp has been a lot of fun! Since coming to Central he has helped me develop not only as a  person but also as a basketball player. He always pushes us to be our best no matter what and he really does believe in us on the good days and the bad. He is also a very good sport when we scare him or reenact the Steinkamp Stomp!!

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central College women’s basketball team?

Definitely the friends I have made!! My teammates are some of the best people and I really couldn’t imagine my college experience without them! I have also gotten to go through this experience playing alongside my sister which has been such a blessing!

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

10 years from now I hope to be a practicing Occupational Therapist, living somewhere in the US with my own family and my dog while traveling as much as possible.

Favorite food from Central Market?
