Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I liked the smaller college feel, and the people I met felt familiar without even having met them before. Basketball was a huge part of my decision as well, I enjoyed my visit and meeting with the coaches who were very personable and eager to see improvement which was exciting.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Moschenross because not only does he team clearly and efficiently, but he cares for the wellbeing of his students as he is teaching them.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?Â
School and sports has always been great but difficult. Balancing basketball with the demands of school can be tough, but it’s worth it in so many ways. Being a part of a group on campus connects you to so many new people who you create close bonds with which make college and such a new experience that much more impactful.

What’s it like to play for Coach Steinkamp?
Playing for Steinkamp is difficult but rewarding. He knows what he wants out of each of his players, and this expectation makes it clear what role you have on the team. It’s exciting because he hones in on your strengths as a player, while developing weaknesses and correcting errors for full growth.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central women’s basketball team?Â
I love playing basketball and putting in work, and the whole team has this mindset to get better. It makes it competitive at practice but also uplifting since we’re all fighting for the success of the team. I like the team mindset, and how each player can take responsibility for their role on the team, as well as the way teammates interact with each other and lift each other up.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to have some idea of what I want to do for a career by the time 10 years rolls around. I want to be pursuing whatever that may be while taking free time to stay in shape and play and write music.
