Why did you chose Central?
I wanted a place that felt like home to me and that’s what I got when I visited Central. Having the ability to build a meaningful relationship with your professors was important in my decision making process as well, as it was something that wasn’t possible at the other schools I was considering.
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. Shuger Fox, after going to Costa Rica with her last summer and completing a research project, it’s hard not to choose her. Her mix of knowledge on certain concepts and the ability she has to simplify those concepts so it’s easier to understand is great. Having the ability to joke around with her in class makes her fun too.
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
Drake, Travis Scott, NF, Kenny Chesney and Thomas Rhett. It really just depends on what I’m doing.
You’re majoring in Exercise Science because?
I enjoy learning about the human body and what happens within the body at certain joints and ligaments when movements are completed. It also allows me to pursue my future career as I hope to work in the Human Performance field.
Any summer travel plans?
I don’t know what I’m doing next week, so how would I know what my summer travel plans are?
Would you rather have more time or more money?
As much as I want to say more money so I can pay off my loans, I’ll have to go with more time. With time you can have much more enjoyable experiences and get to be around the ones you care for the most.
If you were an ice cream flavor, which one would you be and why?
I prefer brownies over anything but if I had to pick one, I’d have to go with moose tracks. I’m a big fudge and peanut butter cup fan!
Who was the last person you texted and what did it say?
I texted my Dad a picture of Jason Witten announcing he was ending his retirement and coming back to the Dallas Cowboys next season and it said HE’S BACK!!!
Describe the worst job you have ever had.
Working out in the yard of Menards during the summer. Nobody else would do any of the dirty work, let alone be able to drive a forklift without hitting something, so I was the one who completed most of the hard work by loading and unloading semitrucks by myself, and tearing down things to begin a store remodel.
What was the last gift you gave someone and to whom?
I bought my parents some Central t-shirts, that they wear to almost every track meet they attend.
Favorite TV Show
I don’t really watch tv, but if I had to pick one its Friends because who hasn’t seen it?
What’s one thing people might not know your coach?
Coach Sturman is jacked out of his mind and actually played football in college, but his knowledge on track is remarkable. I wish I had more seasons of eligibility to see what I could accomplish with his training. Coach Sturman is also a huge country music fan.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Track and Field?
The friendships I have built over the years. We’re basically one big family who supports one another throughout all the workouts we do, all while pushing the underclassmen to reach their goals.

Be married to my smoking-hot wife, living in the mountains with my family and working in the Exercise Science field.
