Why did you chose Central?
During my senior year of high school, I quickly realized that the small-school atmosphere appealed to me a lot more than the large-school atmosphere. Once I toured campus and Pella, I envisioned myself being able to make an impact on Central's campus and the city of Pella. After I stayed a night with the cross country team, I thought that I could have a solid group of friends if I came to Central, and that thought has exceeded my expectations.
Favorite professor and why?
Although I have very strong relationships with many of my professors on campus, my favorite professor would have to be Dr. Jennifer Diers. Her dedication to the education department at Central is admirable and she is always willing to help me become the best teacher I can be. I would not have the confidence that I exhibit in the classroom if it was not for Dr. Diers and the rest of the education department at Central.
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
No doubt, my favorite and go-to musical artist is Lauren Daigle. I also need to give a shoutout to TobyMac and Lecrae for hyping me up for cross country and track meets.
You’re majoring in __________ because?
I'm majoring in Social Science and also going through the Secondary Education program because I want to be a middle school or high school teacher. Social Science offers the most variety (American History, World History, American Government, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Economics) and I love the discussion that these subjects provide in the classroom.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
One night this summer, Daniel Sunvold, Jordan Toomey, Colin Thomson, and I all ate two Jack's pizzas each for dinner. Right after, Sunny thought it would be a great idea to go run a mile on the track in Monroe. We did not think he was going to be able to break 7:00 in the mile. To our surprise, we all ran around 5:30 while not necessarily going all out. We were so pumped... but let's just say I did not feel the best the next morning.

Christian, Passionate, Leader, Fun, Illinois (Fighting Illini)
If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
It would be nice to be able to touch my toes... I am not quite there yet.

What is your hidden talent?
I can make pretty realistic trumpet sounds and play entire songs doing it. I would like to say that is a talent.
What’s the best advice you have ever gotten and from who?
The best advice I have ever gotten is from my grandfather, Gene Muur. He told me at a young age to read the Bible every day. Simple words that have so much importance in my life.
Favorite TV Show
Although I do not watch much TV, you can usually find me in front of one when the Eagles or Fighting Illini are in action.
What is it like to run for Coach Dunham?
Running for Coach Dunham has been a huge time of growth in my life. He is one of the biggest mentors in my life right now. It has been awesome to have a coach that has so much knowledge in terms of running, but also one that keeps me accountable with my walk with God.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central cross country?
My favorite part about being a member of Central cross country is definitely my awesome teammates and friends. We spend so much time together and seem to never get tired of each other. Through thick and thin, the love we have for each other keeps us together.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
I will be wherever God places me. Knowing that God has a plan for me gives me so much eternal joy. It definitely alleviates most of the worries that society's way of looking at the future presents people.
Favorite food from Central Market
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Overnight Oats. That was a mouthful.
Bucket list
I want to run a marathon. I would also like to attend a Passion Conference. Watching the Fighting Illini win the national championship in either football or basketball would be awesome too.
