Nicole Murphy joined the Central Volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2025.

A decorated high school coach, Murphy won a pair of Nevada Class 4A girls volleyball state titles in 2023 and 2024. She was the Las Vegas Review Journal All Southern Nevada Coach of the Year in both of those campaigns. She also coached the boys team and served as the school's athletic director since January of 2023.

Prior to her high school coaching success in Las Vegas, she spent six seasons as an assistant at Bethel where the Royals made the NCAA Division III quarterfinals in 2025.

During her playing career at Bethel from 2010 to 2013, Murphy played middle blocker, opposite hitter and outside hitter for Central volleyball alumni Gretchen Hunt. She was a team captain in 2013 and received the Leadership Award in the same year. She played in the 2011 NCAA Division III tournament with the Royals.
