In his first season, four Dutch men qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the decathlon, led by Gavin Smith’s sixth-place finish. Additionally, Olivia Bohlen qualified nationally for the indoor pentathlon and outdoor heptathlon. She was a first-team All-American indoors and a second-team All-American outdoors. The Dutch won 3 of 4 multi-events titles at the conference meets and had six all-conference performances.

Prior to his tenure at Simpson he spent two seasons at Doane University (Neb.), helping the men's squad win the 2021 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. As an athlete at Central, Fuller claimed the conference indoor pole vault title in 2012 and received all-conference distinction four times, placing in the top three twice in the indoor pole vault and twice in the decathlon.
