Central College Athletics

Former Central College wrestler Joseph Atwell joined the Dutch coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in 2014.

A 2013 Central graduate and four-year letterwinner for the Dutch, Atwell was an NCAA Division III national tourney qualifier in 2012 at 157 pounds. He won 87 matches in his Central career, registering at least 19 wins in each of his four seasons.

The Jamaica, Iowa native received the team’s outstanding freshman award in 2010, the most outstanding performer award in 2012 and the Lawrence Award for outstanding work ethic in 2013.
