Tyler Schiferl joined the Central men’s and women’s track and field coaching staff in 2010.
    
During his tenure, Central has had 25 all-conference performances in the pole vault. He helped Ethan Miller win a trio of conference titles in 2010 and 2011 before Aaron Fuller added one in 2012. Central’s four top-10 pole vault lists include 24 marks from his 15-year tenure. 
        
Schiferl was a two-time track and field co-captain at South Dakota State University. He enjoyed an outstanding 2009 season, winning five meets and earning all-Summit League recognition. Schiferl was a Division I regional championships qualifier and was named to the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association’s all-academic team.
      
A native of Fordyce, Neb., Schiferl earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from South Dakota State in 2009 and is a design engineer for Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella.
