Tom Linton joined the Central men's golf staff in the fall of 2018 as an assistant coach.

It's the second stint on the team's coaching staff for Linton, having previously served as an assistant from 2002-09.

During his first tenure with the program, the Dutch won four conference titles and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships six times. Central registered top-10 team finishes in 2002 and 2004 by tying for ninth place. Tim White, Patrick McElyea and Joel Winters all earned All-American recognition in his first eight years with the program.

An experienced camp instructor, Linton helped at high school and kids camps hosted by Central College between 2002-09. He also helped at the Williamsburg Booster Club clinic in the mid-2000's.

A Minneapolis, Minnesota native, Linton helped Central High School win the city golf crown.

He received a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College (Minn.) and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Linton also serves as associate professor of mathematics. He joined the Central faculty in 1999 and received the Outstanding Performance Award for Effective Teaching.
