Men's golf, men's basketball

A rugged competitor, Jaspers earned eight varsity letters at Central, competing in NCAA Division III tournament action in two sports. He was a two-time All-America and All-America Scholars honoree in men's golf. Jaspers, a Waverly native, was a four-time all-Iowa Conference performer, placing second twice and winning the 1988 league MVP award after setting a new conference scoring record. He led the Dutch to four titles and four NCAA berths, finishing seventh individually at the 1987 national tournament. Jaspers was also a member of Central's 1985 league champion men's basketball squad, winning the team's Mentink Award for leadership and inspiration a record three times. Still an active player, Jaspers is among the top amateur golfers in North Carolina .

Jaspers received a masters of business administration degree from the University of Iowa . He serves as vice president and financial advisor for CUNA Mutual Life in Charlotte.
