Why Central?
I chose Central because when I stepped on to campus I felt at home. I grew up in a small rural town and have always attended a small school so the size was perfect for me. I love the support I receive from professors as I pursue academic dreams. Central College does a great job of allowing students to balance their class work and participating in the sport they love. Central College is a big family that looks out for one another. Besides, what’s better than Tulip Time, Dutch letters, and the best golf I’ve ever played?
Favorite professor and why?
I think my favorite professor so far would have to be Keith Yanner. He was my professor for LAS class my first semester of college, and made the transition of college really easy. The opportunity that came from that class to go bowling with some of the members of the Christian Opportunity Center just made it that much better. Professor Yanner’s positive outlook on life is infectious, and I hope to live with the same positivity one day.
In your iPod?
I don’t personally use an iPod, but when my teammate Cierra Pulse is in control of the aux cord the golf bus is always on fire.
You’re majoring in accounting because?
I plan to major in Accounting with a possible double major of Business Management. I have always had a passion for numbers and finding solutions to problems.

Number 14. It definitely has potential to ruin a good round.
Favorite course you’ve ever played on
Pasatiempo Golf Club. I was able to play that course over our spring break trip to California. Pasatiempo was designed by Alister MacKenzie, one of the designers of the Augusta National Golf Club (Home of the Masters Golf Tournament). It was an awesome experience!
Best part of spring break trip to California?
Besides playing 3 amazing golf courses, the best part of spring break was getting to jet ski in the San Diego Bay with all my teammates. While some were watching the cute sailors on the Navy ship go by, others were worried about jumping back on to the jet ski after flipping from catching the big waves.
The Teammate most likely to make you laugh in your backswing
Molly Timmerman!! She is hands down one of the most hilarious people I have ever met.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Coke Zero; there’s a good chance you won’t see me without one.
Favorite Central College tradition
Singing the Central fight song. Whether it be after a big win or someone starting it on Scholte 3rd North, everyone around chimes in.
Favorite TV Show
Grey’s Anatomy. If the accounting route doesn’t work out I can see myself in some navy-blue scrubs!

Coach Wilkinson was once in a break dancing competition.
Why do you love Central golf?
I love Central golf because you can spend time playing the sport you love surrounded by teammates who have the same passion as you. Being a part of a competitive team that always has each other’s backs is also one of the many reasons. Central Golf has become a big part of my life that has allowed me to grow faithfully, strive to be better, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
Ten years from now I plan to live my life to the fullest each and every day. I hope to be married to the man of my dreams (patiently waiting), have a few kiddos, and be loving my career as a Certified Public Accountant. In ten years, I hope to still be playing golf for fun, and continuing to pass on the love I have for the game to my children.

Mongolian Fridays. The line is never too long.
